ASYNAPSE is the name of the new studio album by the Spanish Heavy Thrash metal band EXESSUS. Formed in 2012 in Barcelona, they return to the stage with this new album which is the successor to their first studio album, TIME IN COMA (2017).
In my opinion, ASYNAPSE is a range of metal melodies that merge, forming the purest groove metal you can find, inspired by its best years, such as the 90s and the beginning of the new millennium. The heavy riffs are solid, and the traditional metal provides an atmosphere of contemporary thrash metal, which, according to the factors above, accelerates like a train at full speed, creating a feeling of pure adrenaline in your brain. On the other hand, the heavy melodies provide relaxing attributes, thus making this album a satisfying balance. Each theme has its own personality.
This album was recorded at Amplifire Studio, and the producer was Gerard Rigau (Blaze Out). The cover was in charge of Pau Pujadas 'Raven,' which is very good. ASYNAPSE is made up of 12 tracks plus one plus an extended version. 100% recommended. Gino Alache
