Black metal overlords VOSFORIS have released a guitar playthrough video for their song "Universal Rot". The song is taken from their album Cosmic Cenotaph, which will be released on vinyl December 6th 2024.
Guitarist/Vocalist Simon White comments "The song, lyrically, is a musing on the Fermi paradox. Spoiler: no one wants to play with us. Musically it was heavily inspired by an artist I have been following for many years. Gear used is a Jackson Soloist loaded with active EMGs played through a Soldano and Mesa oversized 4x12. The DI capture is being processed with the Neural DSP Soldano plugin."
About VOSFORIS:
Formed in 2022 in the UK by Simon White, the black metal band VOSFORIS entwines industrial elements across their sound. Primary influences in VOSFRIS' sound are namely, SATYRICON, TYPE O NEGATIVE, NINE INCH NAILS, with aspects of melodic/symphonic and black/death also present. The album includes the addition of notable guests, including guitarist Richard Shaw on "Psychonaut" and "Omega", and additional arrangements by Anabelle Iratni. With drums on Cosmic Cenotaph performed by Adrian Erlandsson.
