Irene Torres is a Peruvian-born, Toronto-based vocalist with over a decade of international performance experience. Blending Afro-Peruvian rhythms with blues, jazz, and Latin influences, Irene has earned a reputation for her powerful voice and emotional depth. She has been the front woman for acclaimed groups like Santerias, Battle of Santiago, and Irene Torres & The Sugar Devils.
Her latest solo project, Travesía (2024), explores her Peruvian roots through a fusion of traditional rhythms and modern styles. The album delves into themes of home, identity, and belonging, showcasing her unique ability to bridge cultures through music.
