Legendary hard rock singer Joe Lynn Turner has partnered with one of the leading female voices in Bulgarian contemporary music, Maria Ilieva, to release their new single, "Forever." Joe Lynn Turner, best known for fronting Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow during the band’s golden era in the 1980s, later joined Deep Purple, contributing to their album Slaves & Masters, which I consider a masterpiece. As a music journalist, I believe this record embodies all the elements needed to be one of the band’s finest works. Before Deep Purple, he also made a name for himself as the vocalist for Yngwie Malmsteen." Turner shared news of the collaboration on social media this month.
Turner expressed his excitement in a post where he wrote: “Hi Everybody! I am excited and proud to announce my collaboration with the amazing Bulgarian vocalist and true superstar Maria Ilieva. I have admired Maria’s talents for a very long time and hoped that one day we would work together, and finally that day is here!”
The song, titled "Forever," is a powerful, sensitive composition that explores themes of love and unity, with Turner and Ilieva sharing vocal performances. The release will be accompanied by a video, which, according to Turner, "perfectly complements the song’s message."
"I could not have chosen a better partner to spread love and unity in a world that sorely needs it now more than ever," Turner added, emphasizing the emotional and positive purpose behind the project.
This collaboration promises to resonate with fans of both artists, merging hard rock with the richness of Bulgarian contemporary music in a message of hope and human connection.
