Three decades ago, the metal world trembled as Crucifer , the pioneering three-piece band from Fredericksburg, VA, unleashed their monumental albums ' Festival of Death ' and ' Pictures of Heaven '. These underground cult classics, released under Wild Rags Records, left an indelible mark on the metal scene, culminating in a memorable performance at the prestigious Milwaukee Metal Fest. Yet, despite their seismic impact, Crucifer faded into obscurity, leaving fans clamoring for their return.

Now, after thirty years shrouded in mystery, Crucifer emerges from the shadows, resurrected with their long-awaited album 'Hell Is For The Hopeful', released under Pathologically Explicit Records .

Founded in 1990, Crucifer remains a steadfast trio, boasting the original lineup since inception. What sets them apart is their unique configuration - with the drummer doubling as the lead vocalist, a feat of virtuosity rarely seen in the metal realm.

Crucifer's influence extends beyond their music; they played a pivotal role in nurturing the metal scene in Fredericksburg, alongside luminaries such as Deceased , Transgression, Wrathchild America and Clutch . Their impact reverberated further with the rise of bands like Lamb of God from nearby Richmond, VA.

The legacy of Crucifer's early albums endures, with 'Festival of Death' and 'Pictures of Heaven' maintaining strong sales even three decades later. These seminal works have seen multiple re-releases, a testament to their enduring relevance in the metal pantheon.

For their latest endeavor, Crucifer enlisted the acclaimed Kevin Gutierrez of Assembly Line Studios in Texas as their producer. Renowned for his work with bands like Deceased and Believer , Gutierrez brings his seasoned expertise to the table!

With 'Hell Is For The Hopeful', Crucifer boldly reclaims their rightful place in the metal hierarchy. This album promises to be a thunderous resurrection, marking a triumphant return for the band and a treat for metal enthusiasts worldwide.
