Progressive heavy metal powerhouse FREYCUS has released their highly anticipated new single, "Animus," along with a captivating music video, now available on all major streaming platforms. Known for their unique blend of heavy metal, alternative metal, and metalcore, the band continues to push creative boundaries while staying true to their atmospheric and intricate roots.

Founded in 2013 by guitarist Charles Almero, FREYCUS originally started as a punk band before transforming into a progressive metal juggernaut. With Zareh Minassian on guitar, Urian Medina on bass, and Donovan Wetterstein on drums, the group gained recognition with the release of their debut album, Sown, on March 29, 2024. The Kathak dancer tells the story of Kali, the goddess of destruction, who fights to overcome the evils faced by an addict.
