Italian metalcore and post-hardcore outfit The Aurora released their highly anticipated EP, Dalton Minimum , on January 17, 2025. The second installment in their cosmic-themed trilogy, Dalton Minimum dives deeper into planetary and environmental narratives while maintaining the band’s signature blend of melodic and aggressive vocals, and intense instrumentals.
Formed in 2020, The Aurora is a dynamic duo comprised of Riccardo Daga (guitar and bass) and Paul Canella (vocals). Known for their visually striking aesthetic featuring enigmatic masks, the band has been steadily building their presence in both the Italian and international underground scenes. Dalton Minimum follows their previous release, Maunder Minimum (January 2024), which explored solar cycles and environmental themes. This new EP continues to push the boundaries of their sound, showcasing an evolution in their cosmic exploration.
Produced by Riccardo Daga at Titans Lab Recording Studio, Dalton Minimum once again brings the band's unique blend of metalcore and post-hardcore to life. Mastered by Andrea Bernardi of Eleven Mastering, the EP continues to captivate listeners with a mix of powerful, heavy riffs and emotionally charged vocals.
