Cinematic/ progressive metal quintet DISCONNECTED SOULS provide an explosive offering in "Spectral" drawing together catchy hooks, riffs, high-octane electronics and a thrilling array of textural vocals. Featuring guest vocals from Jessie Powell (DREAM STATE) and produced with JJ Catalyst (MOTHICA, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, THE ROSE, KELSY KARTER & THE HEROINES) and Ruairi O'Flaherty (LANA DEL REY, PARAMORE, KENDRICK LAMAR, PALE WAVES), "Spectral" unveils DISCONNECTED SOULS's creativity in a compelling and accessible form.

"'Spectral' was a bit of a behemoth of a project which took over our lives for a few months, there. Wanting something amped up with a wide, synthy sound we basically got stuck into making the sound fun to listen to. I love the feeling of being carried along in the flow of a track.

We got to do two of my favourite silly metal tropes, too, in the layered harsh vocals and the back-and-forth clean and harsh between Pat and Jessie. Jessie was great to work with - me being kind of a musical airhead, my bandmates getting excited to bring her on board was actually my introduction to her music! Lovely person, and absolutely brought the cool to this one. It's also my first time doing bass for DS, so trying to do a good job there took over my life a little extra, too. You always want to do your best, right?" - Felix King

DISCONNECTED SOULS emerged in 2018 and strive to create a distinctive sound that draws upon the depths of metal, while playing with tones and textures. Crafting a cinematic sound while exploring progressive elements, and entwining classical and electronic into their music. The quintet based out of Chester, England, unveiled their debut EP Warring Elements in 2020, followed by a diverse array of singles which led up to the release of their debut album Fragments of Consciousness in January of 2024 before drawing the year to a close with the haunting "Endless Winter".

DISCONNECTED SOULS take their name from the growing disconnect between humans; both from each other but also within ourselves, as well as the increasing rift with the natural world. A theme that manifests across their music. Now, in 2025, DISCONNECTED SOULS kick off their next chapter with "Spectral" featuring guest vocalist Jessie Powell (DREAM STATE). This is the first single to land from their forthcoming sophomore album, more to be announced anon.
