Rise of the Wood return with powerful new album from Dutch rock metal scene

Rise of the Wood is a South Holland based band that manoeuvres between rock and metal. Sometimes more rock, sometimes more metal. But always diverse, energetic, groovy, melodic, and hard-hitting! With some casual shout-along passages to truly evoke exuberant public participation. After their formation in 2014, they have had several releases, which all received excellent reviews. Both nationally and internationally. Such releases being a promo, the full-length album “First Seed”, an EP, some singles, some music videos, and in just a couple of weeks their new full-length album “Discharge” will be out.

Since the formation there have been a number of changes in line-up. But the current line-up makes the band sound even more diverse and unified than ever before. With five members all bringing their own musical backgrounds into play, new songs are written one after another, exploring whole new directions while maintaining the original powergroove.

Rise of the Wood has already conquered many stages, with highlights including performances at DijkRock, WaterPop, and WesterPop festivals. But there’s hunger for more.
