The symphonic metal icons unveil their Dark Asylum world tour across the United States and Canada, bringing their cinematic live experience back to key North American cities in one of 2026’s most anticipated metal tours.
Kamelot have officially announced one of the most ambitious touring cycles of their modern era, unveiling a massive 2026 North American headline run across the United States and Canada as part of their upcoming “Dark Asylum” world tour. The announcement confirms the band’s long-awaited return to major U.S. markets alongside key Canadian dates, reinforcing their enduring presence as one of the leading forces in contemporary symphonic metal.
The North American leg will begin on August 28 in Orlando, Florida, launching a month-long journey across the United States before moving into Canada for a series of highly anticipated performances in Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. Major American stops include Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Anaheim, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, New York and Boston, ensuring a broad national reach before crossing into Canada in mid-September.
The Canadian segment includes September 19 in Toronto at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, September 20 in Montreal at MTELUS, and September 22 in Quebec City at Théâtre Capitole, three cities that have historically responded strongly to the band’s blend of cinematic arrangements, melodic power and progressive depth.
For North American fans, the tour represents not only a celebration of Kamelot’s modern era but also the continuation of a legacy built over more than three decades. With thirteen studio albums and a reputation for delivering emotionally charged and visually immersive live performances, the band remain one of the most respected and consistent names in symphonic and progressive metal worldwide.
For Rockum, the announcement also carries a personal historical note. During a 2020 conversation with founder Thomas Youngblood for the Rockum Radio Show, the guitarist discussed the band’s creative direction while promoting the live release I Am the Empire – Live from the 013 and reflected on Kamelot’s evolving musical vision during the Shadow Empire touring era. In that same exchange, Youngblood confirmed that new material was already in development, a project that would later take shape as The Awakening, a detail that now stands as a documented milestone in the band’s recent history.

The upcoming North American run will feature special guests Visions of Atlantis and Frozen Crown, strengthening the tour’s symphonic and power metal dimension. Visions of Atlantis arrive with strong momentum following the release of Pirates II – Armada, which landed on July 5, 2024 and further reinforced the band’s cinematic identity. Rockum witnessed that energy firsthand during their powerful 2025 performance in Toronto, where the band delivered an immersive and commanding show that confirmed their growing stature on the international scene.

Prior to that concert appearance, Rockum also spoke with vocalist Michele Guaitoli in July 2024 as part of the promotional cycle for Pirates II – Armada, offering insight into the creative vision behind the album at a time when the band’s future touring plans were still taking shape. Italian power metal force Frozen Crown completes the lineup, bringing their high-speed melodic attack and new-generation European intensity to a package that blends experience, legacy and rising momentum across North America.

Following the North American run, Kamelot will head to Europe for an extensive headline tour beginning with the special two-night KamFest event in Tilburg, Netherlands on October 30 and 31. The European leg will continue through major cities including London, Manchester, Stuttgart, Krakow, Barcelona and Madrid, extending the Dark Asylum world tour across the continent.
As Kamelot prepare to return to stages across the United States and Canada in 2026, the Dark Asylum tour stands as a testament to the band’s enduring ability to merge symphonic grandeur with modern metal intensity. More than three decades into their career, Kamelot continue to evolve without losing their core identity, a balance that ensures their place not only in the present metal landscape, but in its ongoing future.
