The legendary performer returns to the UK one final time to celebrate a career built on theatrical rock and timeless anthems
Meat Loaf, one of rock’s most successful and distinctive vocal performers, has announced his return to the United Kingdom this April for the Last At Bat Tour, marking a final farewell to his fans. The run includes a special date at London’s prestigious O2 Arena.
These highly anticipated shows will be presented in two acts. The first part of the evening will feature some of Meat Loaf’s biggest hits, including fan favorites such as “Dead Ringer for Love” and “I’d Lie for You (And That’s the Truth).” The second act will be dedicated entirely to his legendary debut album “Bat Out of Hell”, performed in full and in its original track order.
Released in 1977, Bat Out of Hell remains one of the highest-selling albums of all time, surpassing 45 million copies worldwide and continuing to sell approximately 200,000 copies per year. Remarkably, the album has never fallen off the UK charts since its debut, securing its position as a rock and pop culture phenomenon.
Meat Loaf expressed his excitement about returning to Europe for this emotional farewell. “When Jim and I first came together, we could have never imagined the profound impact that Bat Out of Hell would have on our lives, and most importantly, on the lives of our fans around the world,” he said.
Known for his dramatic voice, passionate delivery and extravagant stage presence, the Last At Bat Tour promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans who have followed him for decades. “I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I will enjoy being together with everyone,” he added.
As one of rock’s most theatrical and enduring figures, Meat Loaf now prepares to take his final bow, leaving behind a legacy few can match.
