The New Jersey deathcore band introduce their next EP and present a new single exploring violence, power and social tension
New Jersey deathcore band Torn Open take a significant step forward with their signing to Blue Grape Music, marking a new stage in the band’s development within the extreme music scene. Following their early releases and growing live presence, the band continues to expand its reach while maintaining a direct and uncompromising sound.
Set for release on May 1, 2026, the upcoming EP “Torn The Fuck Open, Vol. 2” builds on the foundation established in their previous material, reinforcing the band’s identity through aggressive compositions and confrontational themes.
The track “The Way Things Should End” introduces this new phase with a focus on intensity and direct impact. Combining driving riffs, rhythmic shifts, and a forceful vocal delivery, the song reflects the band’s approach to modern deathcore while emphasizing both musical aggression and thematic weight.
Lyrically, the track addresses themes of power, control, and societal tension, presenting a perspective shaped by frustration and resistance. Rather than relying solely on imagery, the band integrates these ideas into a broader narrative that connects with the tone of the EP.
Visually, the accompanying video expands on the song’s direction through a horror-driven aesthetic, reinforcing the band’s use of extreme imagery as part of its overall identity. The result is a presentation that combines sound and visual elements into a cohesive statement.
Since forming and solidifying their lineup in 2025, Torn Open have built momentum through live performances alongside bands such as Mortician and others within the underground circuit. Their progression reflects a band establishing its presence within a competitive and evolving scene.
