The Italian symphonic power metal band present “Moonlight Legion” as the first single from their new EP, produced by Sascha Paeth and featuring Chiara Tricarico of Avantasia
Italian symphonic power metal band Moonlight Haze return with “Moonlight Legion”, the first single and video from their upcoming EP “Interstellar Madness”, continuing to expand their theatrical and melodic approach within the genre.
Set for release on May 22, 2026 via Scarlet Records, the EP represents another step in the band’s evolution, combining cinematic arrangements, melodic structures, and a strong emotional core shaped by their experience as a band.
The track “Moonlight Legion” reflects the connection between the band and their audience, capturing the energy of live performances and the shared journey developed over time. The song blends symphonic elements with power metal intensity, creating a dynamic structure that moves between atmosphere and impact.
At the center of the band’s sound is vocalist Chiara Tricarico, whose performance defines much of the band’s identity. Known for her work with Avantasia as a live vocalist, she brings a combination of technical control and expressive delivery that reinforces the EP’s emotional range.
The production of “Interstellar Madness” was handled by Sascha Paeth, known for his work with Avantasia, Angra, and Kamelot, while mixing and mastering were completed by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio. This collaboration results in a sound that balances clarity, power, and orchestral depth.
Rockum previously covered Moonlight Haze and Chiara Tricarico in a feature exploring the direction of the “Interstellar Madness” EP.
Conceptually, the EP explores themes of inner transformation and emotional intensity, using cosmic imagery as a framework to reflect personal experiences and psychological states. The idea of “madness” is presented not as chaos, but as a deeper perception of reality, pushing beyond surface-level understanding.
With a growing presence that includes millions of streams across digital platforms and appearances at international festivals such as Epic Fest 2026, Moonlight Haze continue to strengthen their position within modern symphonic power metal.
