Cinematic symphonic metal project Catalyst Crime present the official video for “Acquired Immunity”, a track that reflects a more aggressive and experimental direction within the band’s evolving sound.
Driven by the songwriting of Kaelen Sarakinis and Jonah Weingarten, the track combines melodic death metal influences with orchestral arrangements and dynamic structures, creating a balance between intensity and atmosphere.
The song features a guest guitar solo by Marek “Ashok” Šmerda, known for his work with Cradle of Filth and Root, adding an additional layer of technical and melodic depth to the composition.
At the center of the project is vocalist Zoe Marie Federoff, whose performance reinforces the band’s cinematic approach, combining expressive delivery with a strong sense of identity.
The accompanying video expands on the track’s atmosphere, translating its themes into a visual narrative that emphasizes contrast, tension, and dramatic progression.
With “Acquired Immunity”, Catalyst Crime continue to develop a sound that blends orchestral elements, metal precision, and experimental structures, positioning the project within a space that bridges symphonic metal and modern heavy music.
The track also serves as a preview of the band’s upcoming album, set for release on October 2, 2026, which is expected to expand further on their cinematic and conceptual direction.
