The British guitarist joins Alice Cooper’s band for upcoming shows as Nita Strauss steps away temporarily for maternity leave
Rock legend Alice Cooper has introduced British guitarist Anna Cara as part of his touring lineup, stepping in for longtime guitarist Nita Strauss, who is taking a temporary break as she prepares to welcome her first child.
At just 22 years old, Cara has already developed a presence within the rock scene, working alongside musicians such as Marc Storace of Krokus and Tommy Henriksen, a member of both Alice Cooper’s band and Hollywood Vampires.
Her debut with the band is set to take place between April 2–4, 2026, during the special “Welcome To Our Nightmare” shows in Las Vegas, a collaboration with illusionist Criss Angel at Planet Hollywood.
Alice Cooper commented on the addition:
“Anna Cara is a dynamic guitarist with her own style… she will fit in perfectly while Nita is away.”
Cara described the opportunity as a defining moment in her career:
“This is like a dream come true… I grew up watching Alice Cooper live shows and dreaming of this.”
Meanwhile, Nita Strauss expressed her support, highlighting Cara’s talent and confirming her confidence in the band’s future performances during her absence.
Following the Las Vegas residency, Cooper will continue with his “Alice’s Attic” U.S. tour, running from April 14 to May 9, 2026, before returning to Las Vegas for additional shows and later embarking on a European tour through June and July 2026.
