The Brazilian thrash metal band introduce a new single from their upcoming album produced by Martin Furia, continuing their evolution within the global metal scene.
Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa continue their evolution with “Impending Doom”, a new single taken from their upcoming studio album “Slave Machine”.
Set for release on April 3, 2026 via Napalm Records, “Slave Machine” represents a new chapter for the band, combining their established thrash metal foundation with a sharper and more aggressive direction.
The track “Impending Doom” introduces the album’s tone through fast-paced riffing, relentless drumming, and a darker lyrical approach, maintaining the band’s identity while expanding their sonic range.
Produced by Martin Furia, known for his work with Destruction, the album blends old-school thrash elements with a modern production style, reinforcing Nervosa’s position within the contemporary metal scene.
Prika Amaral describes the track as:
“A very powerful song to introduce our new album, marking a big step in our career.”
Rockum previously spoke with Prika Amaral during the release of “Perpetual Chaos” in a 2021 interview with Gino Alache, where she discussed the band’s evolution and the introduction of a new lineup at that time.

Following the transformation initiated in recent years, Nervosa continue to refine their sound, combining technical precision, speed, and a more defined melodic structure.
Across its twelve tracks, “Slave Machine” explores different dimensions of the band’s identity. Songs such as “Ghost Notes”, “Beast Of Burden”, and “You Are Not A Hero” highlight a balance between aggression and structure, while maintaining the intensity that defines their thrash metal approach.
The album also showcases a broader dynamic range, incorporating elements of groove and melody without losing the raw energy that has characterized the band since its early releases.
