Episode 312 brings two hours of new releases and classic rock and metal from around the world, including Moonspell, Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir and more.
The Rockum Radio Show returns with another carefully curated selection of heavy metal and hard rock, blending new releases with established names that continue shaping the global scene.
The episode opens with a nod to legacy, featuring Judas Priest and the track “Dreamer Deceiver” from the iconic album Sad Wings of Destiny, now celebrating its 50th anniversary with a remixed and remastered edition. A fitting introduction that connects Rockum’s history with the foundations of heavy metal.
From there, the show moves into new material with At The Gates and “The Fever Mask”, taken from their upcoming album “The Ghost of a Future Dead”. The track carries additional emotional weight, as it features vocals from Tomas Lindberg, who recently passed away, leaving behind a final body of recorded work.
The first segment expands with Enslaved and “Fire Marengo”, followed by a return to classic death metal through Morbid Angel and “Where the Slime Live” from Domination. New material from Dimmu Borgir and Nervosa reinforces the balance between legacy and modern intensity, before closing with Obituary and “Don’t Care”, a track produced by Scott Burns that remains a defining piece of the genre.
The second part of the program shifts toward melodic and symphonic territories, beginning with Narnia and “Oceanside” from their latest album X. The connection runs deeper for Rockum, as vocalist Christian Liljegren has been part of past interviews and collaborations with the platform.
New music from Amberian Dawn arrives with “Temptation’s Gate”, introducing vocalist Nicole Willerton and marking a new chapter for the band. The segment continues with Catalyst Crime, Power Paladin and Mortemia, the latter offering a reinterpretation of A-ha’s “Take On Me” featuring Marcela Bovio, bridging classic pop with symphonic metal textures.
Closing the second block, Moonlight Haze delivers “Moonlight Legion”, showcasing the vocal presence of Chiara Tricarico and reinforcing the band’s position within the modern symphonic metal landscape.
The third segment brings a more contemporary and diverse approach, starting with Atreyu and “All For You”, followed by Moonspell and “Far From God”, part of their upcoming album via Napalm Records.
From the United States, Ashes Awaken presents “Amazing Grace, Again”, while Lithuania’s Black Spikes adds progressive elements with “AUREA”. The segment closes with guitarist Mickey Lyxx and “Persepolis”, a track that stands out through its melodic structure and instrumental approach.
The final stretch of the show connects classic influence and contemporary releases, opening with Suzi Quatro alongside Alice Cooper performing “Kick Out The Jams”, revisiting the legacy of MC5 through a modern interpretation.
New material continues with Chez Kane and “Too Dangerous”, followed by David Reece and Bangalore Choir with “I Never Meant To”. Eleyet McConnell contributes with “The Horizon”, before the episode closes with Canadian artist Blair Sparrow and “Big Party Excuse”, reinforcing Rockum’s ongoing support for both international and local talent.
