The Berlin and London-shaped artist expands her DOOM TRAP world with a new single, a new video and a full 2026 touring schedule across the U.S. and Europe
Mimi Barks continues to develop her distinct artistic identity with the release of “Dreamstate Of Hell”, a new single and video that opens the next chapter in her evolving DOOM TRAP universe.
Built from the collision of metal, industrial and trap, the track arrives as a raw and emotionally charged statement, pushing further into the tension, grit and personal intensity that have come to define her sound. The song was co-written and produced by Ruben Cardenas of SMLE, while the mix was handled by Owen Claxton, whose credits include work with Bring Me The Horizon and MOSKITO.
The accompanying video was directed, produced and filmed by Demi Yo’Ko and Mimi Barks in downtown Los Angeles, using surreal late-night imagery, fire and collapse to mirror the unrest at the heart of the song.
Explaining the meaning behind the track, Mimi Barks said:
“Sometimes it feels like the world is slipping into a dreamstate of hell and most people do not even realize they are asleep inside it. Everywhere I look, I see noise, decay, violence, distraction, and now war becoming part of the daily landscape again.”
She added:
“But to me, heaven and hell are not places waiting for us when we die. They're states of consciousness we create every day while we are here in the flesh. The real question is what you choose to feed: the poison or the light.”
According to the artist, “Dreamstate Of Hell” was the first song she wrote after moving to Los Angeles, and it became the starting point for everything that followed. It also serves as the first single from her upcoming EP “Dreamstate Of Fear”, scheduled for release in Summer 2026 through her own imprint DEATHKISS Records.
From the underground scenes of Berlin and London to festival stages across Europe and the United Kingdom, Mimi Barks has developed a sound rooted in experimentation, drawing from punk, hip hop, techno and metal. Her live presence has taken her to events such as Download Festival, Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Boomtown and 2000 Trees, while her recordings continue to push deeper into emotionally intense and genre-crossing territory.
Later in 2026, Mimi Barks will make her U.S. touring debut on a 26-date run with Little Miss Nasty and GG Magree, before heading back to Europe for additional shows and a UK run in September 2026.
