TX2, the alternative rock artist led by Evan Thomas, returns with two new songs — “Eat My Heart” and “Prescription For Love” — released together as a double single.
The release follows his debut album and reflects a direct connection with his audience. “Eat My Heart”, which had previously circulated in preview form across social platforms, quickly became a fan-requested track, building anticipation for its official release.
In contrast, “Prescription For Love” presents a more introspective direction, focusing on personal growth and the process of breaking recurring relationship patterns. The track explores themes of emotional awareness and change, offering a more reflective counterpart to the energy associated with “Eat My Heart”.
Speaking about the release, TX2 acknowledged the role of his audience in bringing the track to life:
“I didn’t want to release this song… but fans have asked for it for years. After everything this movement has done for us, we had to do something for them.”
The project continues to build on TX2’s identity as an artist who draws directly from personal experience. His work often reflects themes of isolation, identity and mental health, shaped in part by his own journey as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Originally from Fort Collins, TX2 gained momentum through digital platforms, where his music reached a wide audience and helped establish a growing fanbase. His presence has expanded beyond music through the development of the X Movement, a community initiative centered around mental health awareness and open conversation.
With “Eat My Heart” and “Prescription For Love”, TX2 continues to build a connection-driven approach to his music, balancing direct fan engagement with more personal and introspective songwriting.
