Canadian technical death metal band Archspire return with “The Vessel”, a new single accompanied by an official music video, offering a first look into their upcoming album “Too Fast To Die”.

The album is scheduled for release on April 10, 2026 and marks the band’s first fully independent effort, following the success of their Juno Award–winning release “Bleed The Future”.

The video for “The Vessel” presents a concept centered around the growing role of artificial intelligence in music production, using a fictional system as a narrative device to explore the potential consequences of removing human input from the creative process.

Since their formation in 2009, Archspire have built a reputation for pushing the limits of extreme metal, combining technical precision with speed and complex composition. Their sound merges elements of technical death metal, neo-classical structures and rapid vocal delivery, creating a distinct identity within the genre.

The upcoming album reunites the band with producer Dave Otero, known for his work with Cattle Decapitation and Khemmis, continuing a collaboration that has helped define their recent sound.

Recorded throughout 2025, the project reflects a period of transition, including the addition of drummer Spencer Moore, whose presence introduces new dynamics into the band’s approach.

Beyond its musical direction, “Too Fast To Die” also represents a shift in strategy. The band opted to fund the album independently through crowdfunding, raising nearly $400,000 CAD in just 30 days, surpassing their initial goal and reinforcing their decision to move outside traditional label structures.
