Fronted by Dylan Marlowe, the Nashville-based band emerge from years on the road with a debut shaped by live chemistry and a broad range of influences that extend beyond their original country roots.
Nashville-based band 80 Acres present their self-titled debut EP, marking the formal introduction of a project that had already begun to generate attention through online speculation and early teasers.
Fronted by Dylan Marlowe, the band also features Christian Strahley (drums), Ethan Leak and David Medlin (guitars), and John Frisch (bass), forming a lineup that developed organically over years of touring together.
The project began to take shape during Marlowe’s solo tour cycle, where the group gradually incorporated material outside the country format, revisiting influences rooted in bands such as Fall Out Boy and Blink-182.
That shift eventually led to the creation of “Least You Could Let Me Do”, a track that captured a different creative direction and laid the foundation for what would become 80 Acres.
Dylan Marlowe wrote all songs on the EP, including “Mess We Made”, which he co-wrote with guitarist David Medlin and features Treaty Oak Revival, further expanding the project’s scope and reach.

Musically, the release blends gritty guitar work, melodic hooks and a more direct, energetic approach, drawing from punk-influenced rock while maintaining an identity shaped by the band’s background and evolution on the road.
Reflecting on the creative process, Dylan Marlowe described the experience:
“It’s about freedom… feeling like you’re discovering music for the first time again.”
The EP was co-produced by Marlowe and Ryan Youmans, aiming to capture the dynamic that had developed through live performance and translate it into a recorded format.
