Episode 313 brings two hours of new releases and classic rock and metal from around the world, including Frozen Soul, Voivod, Anthrax and more.
The Rockum Radio Show returns with another carefully curated selection of heavy metal and hard rock, blending new releases with established names that continue shaping the global scene.
The episode opens with a strong symphonic statement, featuring Visions Of Atlantis and the track “Monsters” from their latest album Pirates II – Armada, setting the tone for a show that moves between modern production and classic metal foundations.
From there, the program transitions into one of the most interesting lineups in recent memory, with Lex Legion and “Sleep Eternally”, bringing together musicians associated with the classic era of King Diamond, including Mikkey Dee, Andy La Rocque, Pete Blakk and Hal Patino, alongside vocalist Nils K. Rue.
The first segment continues with German thrash legends Kreator and “Loyal To The Grave”, taken from their latest release Krushers Of The World, reinforcing their position as one of the genre’s defining forces. Sepultura follows with “Beyond the Dream”, introducing their upcoming EP The Cloud Of Unknowing, which the band has described as a final chapter in their recording career.
New material from Lord Of The Lost arrives with “My Funeral”, part of OPVS NOIR Vol. 3, closing the trilogy with a darker and more refined approach. The block continues with Converge and “Hum Of Hurt”, before closing with Dominum and “The Circus Is In Town”, taken from their upcoming album Night Is Calling Out.
The second part of the show shifts toward a broader sonic spectrum, beginning with Canadian legends Voivod and “Kluskap O’Kom” from Target Earth, reaffirming their influence within progressive metal.
New material from Corrosion Of Conformity follows with “Asleep On The Killing Floor”, part of their upcoming double album Good God / Baad Man. The segment continues with Frozen Soul and “Invoke War”, showcasing the band’s continued rise within the modern death metal scene.
A return to Latin American roots arrives with Transmetal and “El Infierno de Dante”, followed by Six Feet Under and “Unmistakable Smell of Death”, bringing together Chris Barnes and Jack Owen in a lineup that connects decades of extreme metal history. The block closes with Immolation and “Into Everlasting Fire”, a defining track from Dawn Of Possession.
The third segment moves into a more melodic and reflective territory, beginning with Michael Sweet and “Worship You” from his solo album The Master Plan, followed by Whitecross and “In The Kingdom”, maintaining the legacy of classic Christian metal.
A moment of remembrance arrives with Joshua Periah, whose work is revisited through “Reach Out” from the album Intense Defense, featuring Rob Rock on vocals. The segment closes with Bloodgood and “The Messiah”, honoring the legacy of Michael Bloodgood.
The final stretch of the show returns to classic heavy metal energy, opening with Anthrax and “Belly Of The Beast” from Persistence Of Time, followed by Evildead and “Annihilation Of Civilization”.
A tribute moment follows with Paul Di’Anno, featured through his work with Warhorse on “Here Comes The Night”, before continuing with Edguy and “Tears Of A Mandrake”. Death Dealer Union adds a modern reinterpretation with their cover of “Square Hammer”, originally by Ghost, while Sevendust closes the episode with “Threshold”, bringing the show to a powerful conclusion.
