The Denver heavy metal band return with their fifth studio album, accompanied by a new single and an extensive 2026 tour schedule
Khemmis return with their fifth studio album, a self-titled release scheduled for June 12, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records, marking a new chapter for the Denver-based heavy metal band.
The album follows “Deceiver” (2021) and is described by the band as a work that captures Khemmis in their truest form, reconnecting with the energy and spirit that defined their early years.
Alongside the announcement, the band have introduced the lead single “Invocation Of The Dreamer”, accompanied by a video directed by Frank Guerra.
Discussing the direction of the record, guitarist and vocalist Ben Hutcherson explained:
“We wanted to write a high-energy album that retained the essential Khemmis sound while celebrating the joy of creating and playing heavy music.”
While the band’s catalog has often explored themes rooted in tragedy and introspection, the new album shifts its perspective toward a celebration of heavy metal and the sense of community it provides.
On the new single, Hutcherson added:
“‘Invocation of the Dreamer’ had to be the first single… it kicks the front door in and sets everything on fire.”
