The Swedish melodic metal band unite with the Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell vocalist for a power ballad previewing their upcoming studio release
Swedish melodic metal band Rexoria continue their current release cycle with “Heart of Sorrow”, a new single featuring Johnny Gioeli (Hardline, Axel Rudi Pell), taken from their upcoming album “Fallen Dimension”, scheduled for release on May 8 via Sound Pollution / Black Lodge Records.
The track brings together two distinct vocal approaches, combining Gioeli’s raw, raspy delivery with the clear and expressive voice of Frida Ohlin, resulting in a power ballad built on contrast, melody, and emotional intensity.
Musically, “Heart of Sorrow” blends melodic hooks with heavy guitar arrangements, reinforcing the band’s identity within the melodic metal landscape while expanding their dynamic range.
The release is accompanied by a cinematic music video that emphasizes visual storytelling and reflects the band’s evolving artistic direction.
With their fourth studio album “Fallen Dimension”, Rexoria continue to refine their self-described “Royal Metal” sound, combining strong choruses, thematic storytelling, and a balance between intensity and melody.
The album follows “Imperial Dawn” and explores a wide range of themes, including social conflict, war-driven narratives, and more introspective moments through power ballads and melodic compositions.
A key element of the album is the inclusion of guest vocalists, featuring Mike Andersson (Tungsten) and Johnny Gioeli, adding further depth to the record’s structure.
Production was handled by Jonas Kjellgren (Sabaton, Dynazty, Bloodbound), delivering a sound that emphasizes both clarity and impact.
