The Canadian band introduce the first single from their upcoming six-song release, marking a shift in sound from their previous material
Montreal-based band Museums have released “Trade”, the first single from their forthcoming six-song EP “This Can’t Be It”, due on June 12 across digital platforms.
With “This Can’t Be It”, the band once again rearrange their sonic building blocks, expanding on what is described as their art / pop alchemy.
The first single, “Trade”, introduces a more anthemic, pop-leaning propulsion, standing in contrast to the band’s previous double single “Lost / Can’t Stop”, which was defined by a more emotionally and sonically brooding approach.
Across its six-song runtime, the EP moves through a variety of melodic directions, from the crunchy urgency of “Dead Birthday” to the title track “This Can’t Be It” and its festival-ready chorus, as well as the reflective tone of “Bends”.
A second single, “Faded”, is scheduled for release on May 8, continuing the rollout toward the EP’s release.
