The Canadian artist will release her third studio album on June 19, introducing a new chapter shaped by personal themes and expanded production
Canadian artist Lindsay Schoolcraft has announced her third studio album “Harrowing”, scheduled for release on June 19, alongside the release of a music video for the track “I Wait For You To Fall”.
The album was developed with producer Justin deBlieck, known for his work with Motionless in White, introducing a more metallic approach compared to previous releases.
“Harrowing” is described as a work centered on themes of survival, healing, and recovery from narcissistic abuse, structured across seven tracks that reflect different stages in that process.
The material incorporates elements of nu metal, metalcore, and rocktronica, while maintaining the use of strings and choirs within its arrangements.
The album artwork is based on Alphonse Mucha’s L’Illustration (Noël 1897), reflecting themes connected to death and rebirth.
The track “I Wait For You To Fall” is presented through a ‘pop-up’ style music video, incorporating influences associated with late 1990s and early 2000s artists such as Korn, The Prodigy, and Republica.
The album includes contributions from:
Krista Shipperbottom — guest vocals on “So Alive”
Rocky Gray — composition
Spencer Creaghan — composition
Brian Cook — composition
