The Connecticut melodic death metal band present their third full-length, continuing their collaboration with Prosthetic Records
Connecticut melodic death metal band Fires in the Distance will release their third full-length album “Circadian Promise” on June 12 via Prosthetic Records.
The album follows “Air Not Meant For Us” (2023) and the band’s debut “Echoes From Deep November” (2020), continuing a sequence of releases that began after the project evolved from a solo effort into a full band.
Originally conceived in 2016 by guitarist and songwriter Yegor Savonin, the project transitioned into a complete lineup within four years.
“Circadian Promise” was developed in collaboration with producer Dave Kaminsky and orchestration contributor Randy Slaugh, and recorded between Power Station in Connecticut and Studio Wormwood in North Carolina.
The album introduces Brendan Hayter as vocalist and guitarist, marking a change within the band’s lineup.
The material continues to explore themes connected to mental health, existential reflection, and perseverance, with a focus on acceptance and the passage of time.
The band’s sound combines melodic death metal structures with orchestral arrangements and atmospheric elements, maintaining continuity with their previous releases while expanding their overall approach.
The album also reflects influences associated with bands such as Swallow The Sun, Amorphis, Paradise Lost, and Type O Negative.
THE SINGLE — “OF RADIANCE AND LEVITATION”
The track “Of Radiance And Levitation” serves as the first single from the album and was developed following the band’s 2024 North American tour with Dark Tranquillity and Amorphis.
