The Symphony X vocalist shares a new ballad inspired by his experience as a father
Russell Allen, vocalist known for his work with Symphony X and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, has released a new ballad titled “Love Her Like I Do (Ava’s Song)” in recognition of Autism Awareness Month.
The track is described as a personal composition inspired by Allen’s experience raising his daughter on the autism spectrum.
“Love Her Like I Do (Ava’s Song)” reflects the challenges and experiences associated with raising a child with autism, including social difficulties and emotional development.
According to Allen, the song was written over several years, documenting different stages in his daughter’s life and the family’s experience navigating those changes.
The lyrics are centered on themes of acceptance, understanding, and support.
The release is connected to Autism Awareness Month, with the intention of highlighting the experiences of individuals and families living on the autism spectrum and encouraging greater awareness and understanding.
Russell Allen joined Symphony X in 1995, contributing to albums such as “The Divine Wings of Tragedy” (1997), “V: The New Mythology Suite” (2000), and “The Odyssey” (2002).
He has also been involved in projects including Allen/Lande and Adrenaline Mob, and performs with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Through “Love Her Like I Do (Ava’s Song),” Russell Allen presents a personal composition connected to his experience as a father, released in the context of Autism Awareness Month.
