The Swedish band will release their Napalm Records debut on May 15
Self Deception have released the single “Don’t Belong”, accompanied by an official music video, ahead of their upcoming album “One Of Us”, scheduled for release on May 15 via Napalm Records.
The track introduces part of the album’s thematic direction, addressing personal struggles and the process of breaking negative cycles.
According to vocalist Andreas Clark, “Don’t Belong” reflects his personal experience with addiction and mental health, presenting the song as a way to process those experiences and connect with listeners facing similar situations.
“One Of Us” was developed during an intensive touring period, with the band describing the material as shaped by their time on the road and live environment.
The album centers on themes related to outsidership and the search for belonging, drawing from interactions with audiences during live shows.
The artwork was created by Alex Tillbrook.
