The Rochester band introduce their new single while beginning their partnership with the label
SharpTone Records have announced the signing of Glasswaves, a trio from Rochester, New York, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band.
Alongside the announcement, the group has released the video for their new single “fvck.me.up.”
“fvck.me.up” blends electronic elements with heavy guitar-driven sections, reflecting the band’s hybrid approach to songwriting.
The track centers on themes of emotional dependency and destructive relationships, exploring the tension between awareness and attachment.
According to vocalist Noah Rich, the song developed from an initial concept into a combination of electronic textures and heavier instrumentation.
He also describes the track as part of a broader narrative that will continue across future releases.
The signing to SharpTone Records places Glasswaves within a label known for its roster of modern heavy and alternative acts, as well as its connection to Nuclear Blast.
For the band, the partnership represents a significant step forward in their development.
Formed in May 2023, Glasswaves have quickly established their sound by combining atmospheric melodies, electronic elements, and heavier dynamics.
Their music moves between more restrained passages and high-impact moments, creating a balance between accessibility and intensity.
The band’s visual presentation, including their war paint aesthetic, complements their live performances.
In 2025, the band won the grand prize at the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands and performed on the main stage at Warped Tour.
They also completed an extensive touring schedule, playing nearly 60 shows and spending close to 80 days on the road.
