VARG Release 'Blutaar' Live Video from 'Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024' via Napalm Records

VARG have released the live video for “Blutaar”, the third single taken from their upcoming live album “Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024”, set for release on May 22, 2026 via Napalm Records.

The track offers a direct look into the band’s live performance captured at their own festival, showcasing the intensity and atmosphere of the event.

“Blutaar”, originally released as the title track of the band’s 2010 studio album, explores a dark historical theme centered on a medieval execution ritual.

Frontman Freki comments:

“‘Blutaar’ is one of the darkest and most intense songs we ever wrote… Played live, it unfolds with its very own force—more raw, more direct, and emotionally even more gripping.”

The live version emphasizes the track’s aggressive dynamics, supported by crowd interaction, percussion, and stage production elements.

“Live at Wolfszeit Festival 2024” marks the first live album by VARG, documenting a performance recorded at the band’s own Wolfszeit Festival.

The release features 16 tracks spanning the band’s discography and will be available in both audio and video formats, including a Blu-ray filmed with 13 cameras.
