The Bay Area thrash band revisit early ’90s material while introducing their latest two-track release
HEATHEN have released the official video for “Twist of Faith”, a track included on their “Never A God” 12" maxi single.
The release continues the band’s current activity following their signing to Napalm Records, combining new material with reinterpretations rooted in their early history.
“Twist of Faith” is a cover of a track originally released in 1992 by Psychosis, featuring future HEATHEN members Kragen Lum and Jason Mirza.
The band reworked the song into a new version, incorporating updated arrangements and production while retaining its original structure.
The track reflects a connection to the early ’90s Bay Area thrash scene, revisiting material linked to the band’s extended musical history.

The title track “Never A God” was originally recorded in demo form by Laughing Dead, and has been reinterpreted by the band as part of this release.
The project serves as an introduction to the band’s new label partnership while new album material remains in development.

HEATHEN formed in 1984 as part of the Bay Area thrash metal movement, contributing to the scene alongside other West Coast acts.
Their early releases:
“Breaking The Silence” (1987)
“Victims Of Deception” (1991)
remain key recordings within the genre.
After a period of inactivity, the band returned in the early 2000s, continuing to release material while maintaining a connection to their original sound.
