The new single continues the rollout of the band’s upcoming album, expanding their classic heavy metal sound with renewed direction
ARMORED SAINT have released the official video for “Hit A Moonshot”, taken from their upcoming studio album “Emotion Factory Reset”, set for release via Metal Blade Records .
The track follows earlier material from the album, as previously reported by Rockum in Armored Saint Announce ‘Emotion Factory Reset’ Album and Release ‘Close To The Bone’ Single, continuing the band’s current release cycle.
The band was also recently featured in DevilDriver, Venom, Soulfly, Voivod and Armored Saint Featured on Gino Alache's Rockum Radio Show, further connecting the album’s rollout with current Rockum coverage.
“Hit A Moonshot” is built around a classic heavy metal structure, combining a strong riff foundation with tempo shifts, layered vocals, and a defined melodic chorus.
The title references a baseball term describing a long-distance home run, used here as a metaphor for success and unpredictability in life.
Lyrically, the track explores contrasts between talent and fortune, highlighting how some individuals consistently succeed while others struggle despite their abilities .
“Emotion Factory Reset” represents the band’s ninth studio album, continuing a catalog that dates back to “March Of The Saint” (1984).
The album reflects a balance between legacy and progression, combining established elements of the band’s sound with a more exploratory approach to songwriting.
Produced by Joey Vera and mixed by Jay Ruston, the record emphasizes both technical precision and dynamic arrangements .
The album was recorded across multiple studios, including:
606 Studios
Secret Hand Studios
Skullseven Studios
Constantine Studios
Bridge Recording
The sessions involved multiple engineers and contributors, reinforcing the collaborative structure behind the release .
Songs such as:
“Close To The Bone”

“Every Man-Any Man”
reflect both the band’s historical identity and their current creative direction.
