The standalone release arrives via Century Media, featuring the original motion picture soundtrack and a documentary filmed at Hansa Tonstudios
BLOOD INCANTATION have announced the release of “All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)”, set for June 5, 2026 via Century Media, with pre-orders now available.
The release marks the first standalone edition of material originally included in the deluxe “Absolute Elsewhere” artbook, bringing together both the full soundtrack and a 73-minute documentary centered on the creation of the band’s fourth studio album, “Absolute Elsewhere,” as covered by Rockum in Blood Incantation Release New Album “Absolute Elsewhere”.
“All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)” presents four extended compositions created in 2021, offering a distinct perspective on the band’s creative process leading into “Absolute Elsewhere.”
The material differs from the band’s established sound, incorporating ambient structures, synth-based compositions, and acoustic elements developed through improvisation and studio experimentation. Guitarist and vocalist Paul Riedl describes this approach as representing a complementary dimension to the band’s previous work, particularly in relation to “Timewave Zero.”
The accompanying film documents the band’s time at Hansa Tonstudios in Berlin, where they relocated for a month to write and record “Absolute Elsewhere.”
Directed by Niklas Tschaikowsky and Tammo Dehn, the documentary provides a detailed view of the band’s recording process, daily routines, and interaction with the surrounding environment, including appearances from members of Tangerine Dream, Hällas, and Sijjin.
Riedl clarifies that the material is not intended as a continuation of the album, but rather as a document of its origins, capturing the earliest stages of what would become that recording.
