The Austrian death metal band introduce the first single from their upcoming concept album via Listenable Records
MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY have presented their new single “The 1974 PNW Spree”, featuring Gabe Mangold of Enterprise Earth, as the lead track from their upcoming album “Washington State Charm.”
The album is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026 via Listenable Records.
“The 1974 PNW Spree” continues the band’s established direction, combining technical precision with aggressive structure, while expanding on the sound introduced in their previous material.
The track draws thematic inspiration from real historical events, forming part of the conceptual framework behind the upcoming album.
“Washington State Charm” is presented as a concept album centered on the narrative of a serial killer, exploring different stages of the subject’s life through its structure.
The material follows the band’s previous release “Vile Postmortem Irrumatio” (2024), continuing their progression within extreme metal while maintaining their core identity.
Originally formed in 2010 by vocalist Georg Wilfinger, MONUMENT OF MISANTHROPY has developed its catalog through multiple releases, combining conceptual themes with a technical approach to death metal.
