The Slayer guitarist revisits his solo debut with new material and a collector-focused release
KERRY KING, known as guitarist and songwriter of SLAYER, has announced an Extended Deluxe Edition of his solo album “From Hell I Rise,” scheduled for release on June 19, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.
The expanded edition revisits his debut solo record with additional material and updated visual presentation, including new artwork by James Bousema and an extended layout featuring previously unseen photos.
The release introduces five previously unreleased demo recordings, offering insight into Kerry King’s songwriting process.
These versions include scratch vocal performances recorded by King himself, a long-standing part of his creative workflow that had not been made publicly available before.
A central element of the release is the earbook edition, limited to 666 copies worldwide.

The earbook will be available exclusively through Reigning Phoenix Music mailorder channels in Europe and the United States.
Originally released as KERRY KING’s first solo album, “From Hell I Rise” marked his transition beyond SLAYER, maintaining a direct and aggressive approach rooted in his established style.
