The Faroese artist presents her first new material since the 2024 album ‘ENN’ while confirming extensive international touring
Eivør has released the new single “Healer”, marking her first new material since the album “ENN” (2024).
The release follows an extended period of international touring across Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand, where she continued to expand her audience through live performances.
“Healer” is built around a composition that combines a distorted piano-led bass line with cinematic string arrangements and ambient textures.
The track moves between restrained passages and more expansive moments, maintaining a steady rhythmic structure while emphasizing vocal expression.
According to Eivør, the song reflects a dialogue with her younger self, focusing on themes of self-worth, doubt, and resilience. The lyrical concept centers on the tension between uncertainty and the process of regaining stability.
The accompanying video, directed by Katrin Joensen-Næs, was filmed in black and white and constructed around mirrored visual elements, exploring identity and transformation through a minimal visual framework.
“Healer” introduces a new phase in Eivør’s work, shifting toward a more direct and immediate songwriting approach while maintaining the atmospheric and cinematic elements that define her sound.
Her music continues to combine Nordic folk influences with contemporary production, forming a catalog that spans multiple stylistic approaches across 11 studio albums.
In 2021, she was awarded the Nordic Council Music Prize, recognizing her contribution to contemporary music.
