The second single from the upcoming album presents a six-track release recorded in Berlin and set for May 29
Elder have released the new single and video “Capture/Release”, the second preview from their upcoming album “Through Zero”, scheduled for release on May 29.
The track follows the previously released title track “Through Zero”, continuing the presentation of the band’s next studio record.
“Capture/Release” is built around a more direct and energetic structure compared to other material in the band’s catalog, developed from an earlier musical idea originating at the beginning of the decade.
According to vocalist and guitarist Nick DiSalvo, the track reflects the tension between creative expression and the demands of contemporary digital visibility, addressing the challenges of maintaining artistic purpose within an environment driven by constant content production.
The video was shot and edited by Sean Miller at Agency 159.
“Through Zero” is the follow-up to “Innate Passage” (2022) and features six tracks.
The album was recorded in Berlin across several months in 2025 between touring periods. It was self-produced by the band and co-mixed with Richard Behrens, marking the first time the group has taken on both roles in the production process.
Across its material, the record continues the band’s exploration of heavy rock, combining riff-driven structures with atmospheric and progressive elements.
