The 2006 album returns on a 300-copy colored pressing with expanded insert, marking a key release in the band’s catalog
Into Eternity will reissue their fourth studio album “The Scattering of Ashes” as a 20th anniversary vinyl edition, scheduled for release on June 26 via M-Theory Audio.
The release marks the return of the band’s 2006 album in a physical format, presented as a limited pressing of 300 copies on “Timeless Winter” colored vinyl. The edition includes an expanded insert featuring personal reflections from several band members.
Originally released in 2006, “The Scattering of Ashes” is the fourth full-length album by Into Eternity.
The album introduced vocalist Stu Block, who would later join Iced Earth, and also marked the arrival of bassist Troy Bleich.
Upon release, the album sold over 2,000 copies in its first week according to SoundScan and led to touring activity alongside acts such as Dream Theater, The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Destruction, and Edguy, as well as participation in Gigantour with Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, and Overkill.
The album artwork was created by Mattias Norén, whose credits include Sabaton, Kamelot, and Evergrey.
“The Scattering of Ashes” was mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap, known for his work with Judas Priest, Opeth, and Nevermore.
The release also includes tracks associated with official videos such as “Severe Emotional Distress” and “Timeless Winter”.

The album was originally released through Century Media, which has licensed the band’s catalog for vinyl reissues through M-Theory Audio.

Into Eternity are currently working on their seventh studio album, which will feature the return of Stu Block.
The new material is being recorded with production handled by Mitch Fraser at MF Studios and Justin Bender at Divergent Sounds.
With this 20th anniversary edition, Into Eternity revisit “The Scattering of Ashes” through a limited physical format, extending the presence of the album within their catalog.
