The band featuring members of King Diamond’s lineup present the second single from their debut album, set for release on June 12
Lex Legion have released the new single and video “Gypsy Tears”, the second preview from their upcoming self-titled debut album “Lex Legion”, scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.
The project features musicians associated with King Diamond, including Mikkey Dee, Andy La Rocque, Pete Blakk, and Hal Patino, alongside vocalist Nils K. Rue of Pagan’s Mind.
The band’s formation and initial release were previously documented by Rockum in Mikkey Dee, Andy La Rocque and Classic King Diamond Members Form Lex Legion and Announce Debut Album, while their material has also appeared in programming such as Kreator, Sepultura, Lord Of The Lost, Lex Legion and Michael Sweet Featured on Gino Alache's Rockum Radio Show.
“Gypsy Tears” presents a composition built around melodic structures and shifting dynamics, combining atmospheric passages with more direct rhythmic sections.
The track follows the band’s debut single “Sleep Eternally”, expanding the musical direction introduced in earlier material.
The video accompanying the release is structured as a narrative piece aligned with the song’s lyrical themes.
According to Nils K. Rue, the song explores themes of obsession and emotional attachment, presented through symbolic imagery and narrative progression.
“Lex Legion” is the band’s debut full-length album and reflects the combined experience of its members across multiple decades of activity within the metal scene.
The album continues the stylistic direction established in the singles, combining traditional heavy metal elements with contemporary production.
