The Connecticut hardcore band continue the rollout surrounding their first studio album in more than two decades
100 Demons have unveiled the new single “Häxan Hammer”, continuing the rollout for their upcoming album “Embrace The Black Light”, scheduled for release on June 5, 2026.
The album marks the band’s first full-length studio release in more than 20 years and was previously introduced by Rockum in 100 Demons Announce 'Embrace The Black Light' as First Album in Over 20 Years and Release 'Meat For The Beast'.
Written by Pete Morcey, Rich Rosa, Rick Brayall, and Jeremy Braddock, alongside the return of guitarist Sean Martin, the material was developed throughout 2025.
“Häxan Hammer” is one of the oldest compositions included on the album, originally written years before the sessions for “Embrace The Black Light”.
According to vocalist Pete Morcey, the song explores post-apocalyptic themes and examines how catastrophic scenarios can unite unlikely groups and individuals.
The track continues the aggressive and direct approach associated with the band’s sound while connecting older material with the current phase of the group.
“Embrace The Black Light” was recorded at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut.
The album was produced and recorded by Greg Thomas, with engineering contributions from Chris Teti.
Mastering was handled by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio, while artwork for the release was created by James Bousema.
The album also includes guest vocal appearances from Colin Young and Taylor Young of Twitching Tongues and God’s Hate.
The release will arrive through Closed Casket Activities.
