The Swedish hard rock band preview their second album ahead of upcoming live appearances in Sweden
Velveteen Queen have announced their second studio album “The Greater Good”, scheduled for release on September 18 through Silver Lining Music.
Alongside the announcement, the Swedish band unveiled the album’s title track “The Greater Good”, accompanied by an official music video directed by Patric Ullaeus.
Emerging from Sweden’s contemporary hard rock scene, Velveteen Queen combine influences associated with classic hard rock and glam-oriented styles while maintaining a modern production approach.
“The Greater Good” features guest piano contributions from Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
According to the band, the song examines themes connected to social apathy, misinformation, and collective responsibility.
The accompanying video expands the visual presentation surrounding the album cycle through a cinematic performance-driven format.
Produced by Sören Andersen, “The Greater Good” continues the band’s development following earlier releases while expanding its melodic hard rock direction.
The album incorporates material ranging from guitar-driven rock songs to slower and more melodic compositions, balancing energetic arrangements with more introspective moments.
Among the tracks highlighted by the band are “Talk or Walk”, “Adrenaline”, and “Chains”.
