The experimental metal band continue the rollout surrounding their fourth studio album, scheduled for release through Relapse Records
Genghis Tron have unveiled the new single and visualizer “Born Prey”, continuing the rollout for their upcoming album “Signal Fire”, scheduled for release on June 12, 2026 through Relapse Records.
The album was previously introduced by Rockum in Genghis Tron Announce 'Signal Fire' Album and Release 'I Am All' Video.
Originally formed in 2004, the band became known for combining extreme metal structures with electronic textures, programmed rhythms, and experimental songwriting approaches.
“Born Prey” revisits some of the aggressive and rhythmically intense elements associated with the band’s earlier material while continuing the broader stylistic experimentation surrounding “Signal Fire”.
The track combines blast beats, electronic transitions, layered synthesizers, and melodic vocal arrangements within a shifting song structure.
According to the band, the composition was intended to reconnect with the more abrasive aspects of releases such as “Board Up The House” (2008), while simultaneously moving into different musical territory throughout its progression.
The visualizer accompanying the track expands the album’s visual presentation.
“Signal Fire” is the band’s fourth full-length album and follows “Dream Weapon” (2021).
The album was co-produced and mixed by Seth Manchester, whose previous credits include work with Model/Actriz, Battles, and Big|Brave.
The current lineup includes Tony Wolski of The Armed on vocals, Nick Yacyshyn of SUMAC on drums, and bassist Kenny Szymanski, also associated with The Armed.
The release continues the band’s exploration of hybrid structures combining metal, electronic music, industrial textures, and experimental composition.
