The band’s seventh studio album arrives in July as touring activity continues with Bring Me The Horizon and a North American headline run
Motionless In White have announced their seventh studio album “Decades”, scheduled for release on July 17 through Roadrunner Records.
Alongside the announcement, the Pennsylvania band unveiled the lyric video for the new single “Playing God”, featuring Corey Taylor.
For more than two decades, Motionless In White have combined elements of metal, hardcore, industrial music, goth aesthetics, and electronic textures while developing a visual and theatrical identity tied closely to their recordings and live performances.
“Playing God” addresses themes connected to online hostility, social media culture, and digital conflict.
According to vocalist Chris Motionless, the song examines how online spaces increasingly amplify negativity, division, and misinformation rather than communication and connection.
The track features guest vocals from Corey Taylor.
“Decades” was recorded in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck.
The album combines stylistic elements associated with different stages of the band’s catalog while continuing to expand their heavier and more theatrical direction.
Additional guest appearances include Skylar Grey and Anthony Martinez of Dark Divine.
According to Chris Motionless, the album reflects aggression and resistance shaped by the current social climate while maintaining the emotional and heavy foundations associated with the band’s earlier material.
