The British hard rock band reunite with producer Bob Ezrin for a new album arriving in July alongside an extensive 2026 world tour
Deep Purple have announced their new studio album “SPLAT!”, scheduled for release on July 3, 2026 through earMUSIC.
The release follows the band’s recent studio works “=1” (2024), “Whoosh!” (2020), “inFinite” (2017), and “NOW What?!” (2013), continuing the collaboration between the band and producer Bob Ezrin.
The album rollout also continues a broader period of activity previously covered by Rockum through Deep Purple Meet Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi Ahead of 'Mad In Japan' Tour Launch, DEEP PURPLE Rapture Of The Deep Marks 20 Years With Remix And Unreleased Tracks, and Ian Gillan dismisses Deep Purple Mk III and Mk IV, Glenn Hughes fires back years later.
According to vocalist Ian Gillan, the new material reconnects with the dynamics and musical chemistry associated with the band’s classic early 1970s period.
At the conceptual center of “SPLAT!” is an idea developed by Ian Gillan, exploring transformation beyond physical existence rather than a traditional apocalyptic narrative.
The album was recorded with the band performing together in the studio, maintaining the collaborative recording approach historically associated with Deep Purple.
Production duties were once again handled by Bob Ezrin, whose longstanding credits include work with KISS, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, and Alice Cooper.
The current lineup consists of Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Don Airey, and guitarist Simon McBride.

The classic Mk II lineup featuring Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord, and Ritchie Blackmore helped define the band’s most influential era during the early 1970s.
