Blue Medusa vocalist Alissa White-Gluz joins DragonForce as the band prepares anniversary performances and a new studio album
DragonForce have announced Alissa White-Gluz as the band’s new vocalist and first female frontwoman.
The lineup change arrives as the band prepares the 20th anniversary of “Inhuman Rampage”, the 2006 album that introduced “Through the Fire and Flames”.
The collaboration between DragonForce and Alissa White-Gluz had previously been explored through the single DRAGONFORCE Unleashes Burning Heart Featuring ALISSA WHITE GLUZ, released in 2025.
Rockum also previously covered White-Gluz’s recent activity through Alissa White-Gluz Unveils 'Checkmate' with Blue Medusa, Marking a New Chapter Beyond Arch Enemy and Former Arch Enemy Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz Introduces Blue Medusa, A Fierce New Force in Extreme Metal.
The band’s first live performances with White-Gluz are scheduled to begin during appearances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple.
According to guitarist Herman Li, the addition of Alissa White-Gluz represents an expansion of the band’s musical direction while maintaining the elements associated with the “Inhuman Rampage” era.
The current transition also coincides with work on the band’s tenth studio album, which remains in development.
White-Gluz described the collaboration as an opportunity to explore different vocal approaches within technically demanding compositions while continuing her broader activity across multiple heavy music projects.
Founded in 1999, DragonForce became internationally recognized through a combination of speed-focused power metal, dual guitar arrangements, and technically demanding compositions.
The band’s 2006 album “Inhuman Rampage” introduced “Through the Fire and Flames”, which later became widely associated with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
Across multiple decades, the group has toured with artists including Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slipknot, and Ozzy Osbourne.
Outside of Arch Enemy, Alissa White-Gluz has also been associated with projects including The Agonist, Kamelot, and Blue Medusa.
