The Italian progressive power metal band continue the rollout surrounding their upcoming EP following the return of Michele Luppi and Oleg Smirnoff
Vision Divine have unveiled “A Clockwork Reverie”, the title track and second single from the upcoming EP of the same name, scheduled for release on May 22 through Scarlet Records.
The EP cycle was previously documented by Rockum through Vision Divine Release '18 (It Feels Like Heaven)' Video and Announce 'A Clockwork Reverie' EP and Vision Divine Reunite with Michele Luppi and Oleg Smirnoff for New EP 'A Clockwork Reverie'.
The new release marks the continuation of the band’s renewed lineup featuring vocalist Michele Luppi and keyboardist Oleg Smirnoff.
According to the conceptual narrative surrounding the song, “A Clockwork Reverie” takes place inside a mythical workshop where an old man maintains the clocks that govern existence and the progression of life.
The story centers on an hourglass that stopped eighteen years earlier, containing echoes of unrealized lives and missed encounters suspended within its sands.
Musically, the track continues the melodic and progressive direction associated with Vision Divine, combining symphonic keyboards, layered vocal melodies, and progressive power metal arrangements.
The EP represents the band’s first release following the return of Michele Luppi, known for his work with Whitesnake, and keyboardist Oleg Smirnoff, also associated with Labyrinth and Eldritch.
Production was handled by Olaf Thorsen and Michele Luppi, while mixing duties were completed by Simone Mularoni and Michele Luppi at Domination Studio. The EP was mastered by Michele Luppi at MiLu’s RockLab II.
The artwork was created by Augusto Silva.
The release also marks Vision Divine joining the Dragon Productions booking roster and precedes the band’s scheduled headline appearance at the Warriors Of Steel Festival 2026 in Norway.
