Temple Of Dread Reveal 'Dreadspawn Dominion' Video and Announce New Album

Temple Of Dread have announced their sixth studio album, “Dreadspawn Dominion”, scheduled for release on August 7, 2026 through Testimony Records. The band have also revealed the title track as the first advance single from the record.

The album follows “God of the Godless” (2024) and continues the East Frisian band’s ongoing use of classical mythology, underworld imagery, and old school death metal structures.

According to guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer, “Dreadspawn Dominion” continues the story of Hades and Charon, extending the conflict for control of the underworld.

Musically, the song brings a stronger thrash metal accent, with writing inspired by 1980s metal traditions while staying within the band’s death metal foundation.

The official video was created by Toni B. Gunner.

“Dreadspawn Dominion” was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by drummer Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany.

The cover artwork was created by Paolo Girardi, with layout by Hiko Kalojanov-Kramer. The lyrics were written by longtime collaborator Frank “Doc” Albers.

The album also marks the first Temple Of Dread full-length with guitarist Daniel Maurer and bassist Andi Bauer as part of the expanded lineup.

Temple Of Dread were founded in 2017 on the island of Spiekeroog by guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer, with the intention of creating old school death metal.

The band’s catalog began with “Blood Craving Mantras” (2019), followed by “World Sacrifice” (2020) and “Hades Unleashed” (2021), before later albums expanded the group’s mythological and cinematic direction.
