Self Deception Release 'BREAK!' Video Ahead of 'One Of Us' Album

Self Deception have unveiled the new single and video “BREAK!” ahead of the release of their upcoming studio album “One Of Us”, scheduled for May 15, 2026 through Napalm Records.

The new track continues the momentum surrounding the Swedish modern rock band following the international streaming success of songs including “Fight Fire With Gasoline”, which accumulated tens of millions of streams after its release in 2022.

Built around heavy rhythms, electronic textures, and melodic hooks, “BREAK!” expands the band’s blend of modern metal and contemporary rock while maintaining the energetic approach that has increasingly defined Self Deception’s recent material.

Vocalist Andreas Clark explained that the lyrics focus on emotionally destructive personalities trapped between conflict and vulnerability, describing a person addicted to chaos and internal contradiction.

According to the band, “One Of Us” was largely inspired by life on the road and the atmosphere created during extensive touring activity in recent years.

The lyrical direction of the album revolves around themes of alienation, belonging, escapism, and emotional connection between artists and audiences during live performances.

The artwork was created by Alex Tillbrook, recognized for work connected to the Netflix series “Stranger Things” as well as projects involving artists such as Metallica, Blink-182, and Sleep Token.
