The shock rock icon revisits two darker chapters of his catalog through remastered editions featuring bonus tracks, deluxe packaging, and collectible formats
Alice Cooper has returned to two of the darker and more theatrical releases in his catalog through newly expanded reissues of “Along Came A Spider” and “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, both now available through earMUSIC.
The reissues revisit two albums connected by storytelling, horror aesthetics, and Cooper’s long-running fusion of hard rock, theater, and psychological narrative — elements that helped define his identity across more than five decades of recording and touring.
For collectors and longtime listeners, the new editions also bring multiple vinyl configurations, remastered audio, expanded packaging, and bonus material tied to different periods of Cooper’s later-era catalog.
Originally released in 2008, “Along Came A Spider” revolves around the perspective of a serial killer and remains one of the more conceptually focused albums in Alice Cooper’s discography.
The album includes guest appearances and collaborations involving musicians such as Slash and songwriting contributions associated with Ozzy Osbourne collaborator Kane Roberts. Producers Greg Hampton and Danny Saber shaped a heavier and more direct sound that separated the album from some of Cooper’s earlier classic rock-oriented releases.
The reissue arrives as:

For vinyl collectors, both reissues continue the growing trend of revisiting later-era hard rock and metal albums in expanded audiophile-style editions.
The use of 45 RPM vinyl pressings, gatefold packaging, bonus material, and remastered audio positions these releases closer to premium archival editions rather than standard represses, particularly for listeners interested in Alice Cooper’s post-2000 catalog.
The reissues additionally reconnect two different storytelling periods within Cooper’s career: the psychological horror narrative of “Along Came A Spider” and the theatrical continuity linking “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” to one of the defining shock rock albums of the 1970s.
While Alice Cooper’s classic 1970s catalog often dominates historical discussion, releases such as “Along Came A Spider” and “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” demonstrate how the artist continued expanding his theatrical universe decades later through darker narratives, modern production approaches, and concept-driven songwriting that still translate naturally into collectible physical editions.
